Governor of New South Wales visits Orange
Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson are in Orange today (Thursday, August 3) and will tour the region over the next two days.
The Governor and Mr Wilson will be visiting Eugowra, Canowindra, and Millthorpe before concluding their trip in Cowra on Saturday, where the Governor will attend events commemorating the 79th anniversary of the Cowra Breakout.
Today in Orange, the Governor and Mr Wilson are scheduled to meet staff, volunteers, and clients of The Orchard domestic violence refuge, hear from members of Orange City Council, and visit Wangarang Industries. They will also engage with staff and students at Nashdale Public School, along with facilitators of the Life Education NSW Mobile Learning Centre, tour the Agricultural Institute, and visit the Aboriginal Medical Service and Charles Sturt University, where they will attend a reception held in conjunction with Education Week.
In Eugowra, the Governor and Mr Wilson will meet with the Eugowra Flood Recovery Committee and tour areas impacted by the 2022 floods.
In Canowindra, they will visit the Age of Fishes Museum and meet with members of the
Canowindra Branch of the CWA.
On Friday night, the Governor and Mr Wilson will attend the Millthorpe Fire Fair.
