Academy Coffee aka Matt Swiatkiwsky alongside Lucus Martin have recently started recording a local podcast dedicated to all things coffee, with industry leaders across the country and the globe.

Matt explained, “Originally we wanted to speak with professionals that would be able to give us ideas on how their business would make it through Covid- 19, hopefully inspiring others to think outside the box. Though I think throughout the series it will chop and change from knowledge to ideas and inspiring stories.

It was a good time for us to launch the podcast now because we have a bit of downtime with the current situation and through the years we’ve met some really amazing people who would love to come on and tell people their stories.”

Matt continued, “In our first episode we speak to Yanina Ferreyra about the current situation, ‘the new normal’ and the effect it is having on farmers coffee prices along with the Australian market. In our second episode we talk with Matt from Gorilla Roasters on the South Coast where he tells us about how he formed a committee to help the South Coast of Australia get through the recent bushfires.

Honestly the most enjoyable aspect of this so far has been, Lucas’s amazing radio voice, he is the main man behind this. We hope listeners may gain a little inspiration and a little bit of a deeper guide into Coffee.”
