What’s still open?
Council launch online directory for local business
Orange City Council has created a free online business directory so consumers can see just which businesses are still open and what services are available during the current COVID-19 crisis.
As government regulations continue to change and businesses begin to feel the pinch of tighter social restrictions, Orange City Council has designed the online directory to ensure community members can continue to support the services around them.
The directory is open any business within the Orange, Cabonne, and Blayney local government areas and registering is free.
“This is a chance for businesses to keep their customers up to date on when their store or service is open,” said Orange Mayor Reg Kidd.
“At a time when things are very uncertain for a number of owners and entrepreneurs, we as a community need to make sure we are supporting our services at a time when they need us the most.”
Each listing on the directory allows owners the chance to list a detailed description about their business, contact details, opening hours, what offerings and payment options are available, along with any other details that will encourage support from the local community.
Business owners can register themselves online using this link: https://www.orange.nsw.gov.au/business-directory/
Orange City Council staff will also be ringing local business owners to assist them in registering their businesses.
Since the Covid-19 crisis came to a head, Orange City Life has also been busy helping local businesses get the word out to their customers with free messages posted on our own website. Any business that would like something included is welcome to call our office on 63613575 or email: reception@oclife.com.au with the details.
