Easter at Home
Am I the only one or has the Easter break well and truly snuck up on us?
I wanted to reach out and extend some positivity amidst the crazy. Don’t let this situation put a damper on your Easter celebrations, there are plenty of things you can do from the comfort of your home, and remember, support our local small businesses for your Easter goodies.
1. Have an indoor Easter egg hunt
Believe it or not, social distancing can be achieved for this. Hide eggs in the dryer, under your bed or amongst the plants, then watch the family look around for them. Just remember, if you have pets inside chocolate is a no-no, make sure you collect them all so no paws can find them.
2. Cook an Easter meal
If the grocery store shelves aren’t an obstacle, buy the materials to cook your favourite holiday dinner.
3. Live stream a church service
If church is part of your family’s Easter tradition, you can still attend your Sunday morning service from the comfort of your home. Though churches have all closed their physical buildings to comply with social distancing, services are still happening via livestream platforms like Facebook Live and on church websites.
4. Easter Crafts
There are so many great Easter craft ideas hitting the internet each and every day, try your hand at one or leave it to the experts (the kiddos.)
5. Face time the Relos’
There’s nothing quite like running around with your new-found Easter goodies and showing them to your grandparents, Aunts and Uncles (am I right?!). This can still be done! Get out the good old facetime and you can safely spend hours together.
Most importantly, stay safe this Easter break.
