“My family is from Cowra originally though I did my schooling and studying in Sydney. A lot of people used to say to me, it’s very evident you are from the country.
I came back to Orange in 2010, to help my Father and Husband work on the orchards. We opened Groundstone in 2016 and I just love how open the space is, the glass windows and the precinct. Just being in the centre of town is really nice. I prefer modern architecture, modern themes and I love greenery, hence our plant wall.
We have worked really hard on having a team we want to work with every day, and who wants to be here. We are a team, a ‘work' family.
Coming from Sydney you are very anonymous, whereas in Orange you get to see everyone all of the time, we aren’t just saying hello, goodbye, we know our customers and that’s a really nice relationship to have.”
