It’s Millfest time at Millthorpe
Millthorpe comes alive this time of year, especially with their Millfest Festival, a Christmas celebration of music, food and beverages. Our photos were taken at last year’s event.
The event is being held this Saturday December 8 from 12pm-7pm in Millthorpe’s Main Street. The event is family friendly and there will be entertainment for all ages.
This is the 4th annual Millfest and it is expected to bring over 3,000 people to the small village. Entry for the event is a gold coin donation with all proceeds going back to the Village of Millthorpe.
“There will be 47 stalls lining Pym Street alongside local shop fronts who all open for a day of roaring trade. There will be quality artisan items plus local food and wine available, live music, kids’ entertainment and face-painting.
“The local community spirit amongst the historic and picturesque streets of Millthorpe is a main highlight of the event and one you’ll enjoy,” said Orange 360 Communication and Sales Manager, Emily Mann.
There will be a great line up of music and entertainment starting at 12pm and continuing through to 7pm. The night will feature Amy Viola, Smith and Jones, Jasmin Morgan, Momentum, The Safety of Life at Sea, Hip Replacements and The Amazing Woolloomooloosers.
Local children from the Millthorpe Primary School and Millthorpe Ballet and Performing Arts School will also be presenting a special concert.
“The event is great fun for the whole family – food and wine for mum and dad, entertainment for the kids and the perfect opportunity to stock up on Christmas gifts!
“It is also a great opportunity to get out and support our regional villages, their small businesses and the community! “Shop local this Christmas!” said Emily Mann.
