Boom Town

Defying the critics; Orange has the look of a boomtown at the moment with the amount of construction work underway in the city. Ben Cutler from Johnson Controls gives the thumbs up to installation of a new chill water plant for Orange City Council’s air-conditioning system which is as old as the building. The new chiller will be more energy-efficient and will reduce operating costs for Council. It is also more stable and requires less-maintenance, reducing costs and the impact on the environment.

The 150-tonne crane’s boom-arm extends 53 metres flexing like a fishing rod as it places the 500kg plant in place.
