Golden Guitar winner Max Jackson headlines hot country line-up

Get ready to dust off your cowboy boots and get ready for boot-scootin’ fun as "A Night in Nashville" returns to the Orange Showground.

A Night in Nashville is the closest you will get to being in the American country music capital without buying a plane ticket. For two nights — Friday and Saturday, March 1–2 — the Agricultural Pavilion at the Orange Showground will be fully transformed into an authentic Nashville honky-tonk.

“The goal is that once you walk through the gates you are fully in Nashville," says event founder and avid country music fan, Tim Mortimer.

“So it's a big honky-tonk with all the stylings… So neon signs, obviously country music, hay bales, festoon lights, there's food trucks, a mechanical ball… it's going to be a really good atmosphere.

“I got a few surprises, but we're trying to transport everyone into the heart of America once they walk through our gates.”

"A Night in Nashville" first came about as a way to let loose and get people together after the isolation of the Covid lockdowns.

“We just love doing positive things for the country and Orange in particular,” explains Tim. “We invested initially during Covid, just to get everyone together again and it was that fun and exciting that we thought we'd do it again.”

Growing each year, the 2024 program has been expanded to two nights. But if you want to join in the fun you better get in quick as the Saturday show with Robbie Mortimer has fully sold out and tickets for Friday are selling fast.

Headlining the Friday night is none other than Max Jackson, the Coonamble-born country music sensation who recently clinched a Golden Guitar for Best New Talent at Tamworth.

With her infectious energy and undeniable talent, Max is sure to light up the stage on March 1.

“Max Jackson…  she's probably the hottest news in Australian country music right now in the industry,” says Tim.

“And then Jarrad Wrigley, who is playing before her, he's doing a Toby Keith tribute which is going to be good fun. And local Megan Woods will be playing on the Friday night too.”

As well as a night of live music with that authentic Nashville sound, there’s going to be line dancing, prizes for the best-dressed cowboys and cowgirls, and mouthwatering cuisine.

Don't miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and Southern hospitality.
