Keeping you safe and secure is the simple but vital role of Canobolas Locksmiths.

Proud owners Dale Thornberry and Ian Stapleton have seen a lot of changes in locksmithing over the past two decades.

“We’ve gone from keys to electronic, combination, and even fingerprint locks for your door... you can even have a lock that is linked into your smart phone,” Dale explained.

“We can provide any sort of lock for any inquiry, it’s that simple,” Dale said.

Dale and Ian offer the full range of locksmithing services from locks for all residential and commercial properties to unlocking your car door or house if your keys have been left inside.

“We can do all of that, any service that requires a locksmith, talk to us,” Dale said.

“Our aim is ensuring that everyone is safe and secure in their homes and that our job is done professionally.

“We do home locks, car locks, window, base locks, commercial,” she added. “But you just can’t install any lock on any door, that’s why people should contact us first,” she said.

Dale believes that the stay-home orders around the COVID-19 pandemic have seen a slight slowing of business, with many people spending far more time at home than out and about.

“It is definitely a bit quieter, but we’re still seeing people locked out of their homes. It has impacted all businesses, but it is what it is,” she said philosophically.

“I think that overall, there are a lot of people home so that has affected our work,” Dale explained. “People aren’t going out and getting around, so everything’s gone a bit quiet,” she said.

As an essential service though, they have been able to trade throughout the lockdown period from their 169 March Street store.

“Our emergency service is still running, and we respond immediately. If you lock your keys in your car or house, we can get round there right away. Anytime, anywhere, give us a call and we’ll be round right away,” Dale said.
