Family man and local miner Glenn Floyd to go for council

“It’s a great pleasure to announce that Glenn Floyd
will be leading our ticket for the upcoming Orange council elections”

On Monday morning, Member for Orange Phil Donato announced Glenn Floyd, proud father of two girls, as the leading ticket for Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party’s campaign in Orange’s forthcoming council elections.

It was also announced five dedicated candidates Antoine Tartak, Luke Brown, Connie Barbagallo, Adam Bayliss and Julia Romano will be backing Glenn.

“We have an amazing group of people from all backgrounds who’ve stepped forward to serve their community on council, and I couldn’t be happier to endorse Glenn and the team,” Phil says.

Phil expressing his enthusiasm further by having nothing but praise for Glenn, stating he’ll be “a great councillor and community advocate”, someone who “really understands the needs and issues that are faced by everyday people in Orange and will ensure that their voices are heard in council.”

“Glenn is continuing the great work that was done by his predecessors Sam Romano and the late Mario Previtera,” Phil explains.

“It’s such a great honour to be preselected as the lead candidate for the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party ticket for Orange,” Glenn says.

To family and friends, Glenn is known for working at Newcrest Cadia mines and being a Justice of the Peace. He’s also known for his love of the outdoors and being passionate about improving mental health within the community.

“My involvement in the Mr Perfect charity has really highlighted the importance of mental health and I will be fighting for greater coordination and delivery of mental health services here in Orange. It is an issue that all levels of government must take seriously,” Glenn stated.

Glenn is determined to support the growth and further developing our small business and increasing job opportunities for the community, especially for our young people.

With Glenn recognising “people have lost their jobs and small businesses are on their knees due to COVID.”  If elected, Glenn will ensure that council can provide and create employment opportunities and helping small businesses recover from the effects of repeated lockdowns.

“If elected, I look forward to making sure that the council works hard for the people of Orange,” Glenn says.
