Destination: New York

On board a hop on- hop off bus tour, we passed the iconic Flatiron building. Built in 1902, the distinctive triangular shape of the Flatiron Building (22 stories high), allowed it to fill the wedge-shaped island block and it became New York’s first skyscraper building (seems small compared to now-a-days skyscraper buildings). Its ‘pointed’ offices have a spectacular view which look out to the Empire State Building.

For the movie buffs, you’ll recognize the building from its cameos in a variety of movies including the Spiderman trilogy, to which it was known as ‘The Daily Bugle.’
