Mumbil Markets and Music Festival
Mumbil Advancement Association Inc. will be bringing lots of fun activities and entertainment to the Village of Mumbil on March 7 for the ‘Mumbil Markets and Music Festival, providing a fun filled day out for locals and visitors alike.
The inaugural event will host a great line up of talented musicians and entertainers.
Pam Gough of Mumbil Advancement Association Inc said, “We have been lucky enough to secure Don Costa who was recently inducted into Country Music Hall of Fame joining the likes of Slim Dusty, Smoky Dawson, Kasey Chambers and others – he is a real draw card.
“Don will be joined by the always popular local artists Mick Austin and Tracy Charman and Tamworth Star Maker finalist Simon Busmann – a wandering minstrel, travelling troubadour, singer of songs and spinner of yarns who has performed at the Opera House, Sydney Royal Easter Show and other major venues including gigs in America and Japan and, can play the didgeridoo! Simon is also well known for his ‘Jolly Swagman Show’. So, if nothing else these artists make travelling to Mumbil a worthwhile experience to listen to and enjoy.”
There will be plenty of activities for the littlies to get involved with including a jumping castle, a gem cave, adventure trike rides and plenty more.
There will be an Astronomy Exhibition which is said to be quite amazing and thought provoking, and of course there will be lots of market and food stalls which will ensure a great variety for young and old.
Hay run Tommy’s Truck will also be accepting donations of food, personal items and stock feed on the day to be delivered to struggling families. So, bring something from your pantry for Tommy.
With all that and more going on, it’s sure to be a fun day for all ages, grab the family (bring a chair or rug to enjoy the music) and take a drive out to the Mumbil Markets & Music Festival. It kicks off from 9am to 5pm, and there is a $2 entry fee for over 16’s. All of the action will be at Mumbil Oval, Cudgegong Street. For further information contact Pam on 0427 294 219.
