Musician unite for our region’s farmers
It all started during a New Year's Eve gathering. A group of local musicians were wondering what they could do to help local farmers suffering from this disastrous, extended drought.
And so, the idea of fundraising benefit concert was formed.
The Let it Rain Drought Relief Concert will take place on Friday 6 March at the Orange Ex-Services Club and feature ‘rain’ themed performances from popular local musicians and dancers who have all generously donated their time and talents for the cause.
These include: the Galumaay Indigenous Dance Troupe, Amy Viola, Andrew and Will Ferguson, Barry Patterson, Cecelia and Rocky Rochelli, Catherine Litchfield, Emerson Miller, Gabemusic, Hughie Brown, Kyle and Holly Manning, Matt Arthur, Melissa Stanford, Pat and Kellie O'Donnell, Robbie Mortimer, Sappirah Knight and dancers from Central West Performing Arts.
Local businesses have also made generous donations that will raise extra funds through 'silent auctions' on the night.
The Orange Ex-Services Club has generously given its support in administration, promotions and supplying the venue.
All proceeds will be distributed directly to drought affected farmers with the assistance of our regional CWA branches.
Tickets $40 + booking fee (through the Orange Ex-Services Club) www.oesc.com.au/show
