"Creating Art Makes me Happy!"
The Orange Art Society’s Featured Artist for October, Katrina McFarlane, is a born and bred Orange girl who loves art.
A self-taught artist, Katrina makes a point to challenge herself with every piece she creates.
“I love colour and I love animals and this is reflected in many of my works.” said Katrina.
“My hope is to evoke positive emotions to those who view my art, like it does me.”
Art has always been a huge part of Katrina’s life, but it has only been recently that she has been able to wholeheartedly focus on creating some serious artwork.
She also enjoys the challenge of commissioned work and is currently completing a number of commissioned pieces.
“I love to experiment with different mediums and styles and my work is always evolving”, she said.
“Creating art makes me happy!”
Everyone is welcome to browse Katrina’s exhibition at the Orange Art Society Gallery in Sale Street (entry located at the rear of the Woolworth’s carpark near Harris Farm).
You may even find Katrina in the art rooms creating more of her colourful art!
The official opening of the exhibition will be held on Saturday,17th October from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Although numbers will be limited due to current COVID-19 restrictions, it will be a great opportunity to come and meet Katrina.
