August 2: History Council of NSW Seminar: Memory Research & the Family Historian

Interactive workshop with Associate Professor Tanya Evans on family history, local history, memory and material culture. August 3: Readers and Writers Festival

August 3: 4 On The 4loor at the Vic Hotel

Orange’s monthly loud and live music gig returns to the Victoria Hotel with Steve Somerville (catch him before he goes overseas again), The Young & Wild (aka The Robbie Mortimer Trio), Hayleee and trans-funk-jazz-head-fusion GO:AT! 8.30pm til late.

August 4: Sunday Sessions at The Bowlo with Lueth Ajak

Due to overwhelming demand Lueth Ajak is returning to Canowindra’s popular Sunday Sessions at The Bowlo this Sunday! Live and free at the Canowindra Community Bowls & Recreation Club from 3 to 6pm.

August 9: Dami Im – Dreamer Tour

Australia’s most revered pop artist of the new millennium, Dami Im brings her exciting new national tour to the Orange Civic Theatre. 8pm, tickets at Ticketek.

August 10:  Women Like Us - Orange Ex Services Club

Women Like Us’ middle-aged mouthy mamas of mirth, Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs return to Orange following sell-out shows at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Doors open at 7.30pm with show at 8pm. Tickets $35 – at the club or online at oesc.com.au

 August 14: JAM Orange Open Mic Night at the Orange City Bowling Club

JAM Orange’s monthly Open Mic night at the Orange City Bowling Club. Come and support live, local music from 7.30pm.

August 17: The Country Radio Stars Showcase

A fantastic showcase of Australian independent country music talent. Enjoy 30-minute sets from the likes of Lance Birrell, Kylie Adams-Collier, Vanessa Delaine and ever-popular local artist Justin “Ned” Landers. Orange City Bowling Club, 8pm, tickets are $15 at Club Reception.
