Straight from the horse’s mouth!

The Orange Riding for Disabled are going to be busy in the coming month, along with their weekly Wednesday riding classes the centre will host its centre open day on July 31 coinciding with the Annual horse’s birthday on August 1. This event will kick off from 9.15am-2.30pm at RDA Orange Centre, The Overflow, Clifton Grove.

Parents and friends of those involved in the RDA programs are invited to come along to see a demonstration of the children's riding skills, as well as assist them in feeding carrots to the horses and singing happy birthday.

The RDA team are extending an invitation to the public to come and join everyone for the open day. If you are thinking of becoming a volunteer for the centre or you would like to know more, that day would be a perfect opportunity for you to catch up with those who have made the centre what it is today.

RDA Publicity Officer, Celia Klinger added, “New volunteers are always welcome, visitors will also have an opportunity to talk with volunteers and see the facilities. Training is provided for those who are interested in joining the RDA family.”

For all of you sweet tooth enthusiasts out there the RDA volunteers will also be hosting a street stall which is to be held at Orange Central Square on level 2, on August 2. There will be plenty of delicious cakes and slices, jams and plants for sale. (Donations of saleable items are welcome and can be dropped off by 9am.)
