Well, that’s exactly what Geoff and Donna Parks asked themselves when it came to vehicle servicing.
Geoff, an Orange local and mechanic with more than 30 years’ experience, decided that there needed to be a way to take the stress and hassle out of getting your vehicle serviced.
“For someone in business like me, I've had new cars I've had to get serviced and it’s a pain to take them down there and get a lift back to work, and then go and get them in the afternoon,” said Geoff.
“And it’s the same for anyone who has a job or the mums who’ve got three little kids at home, they don’t want to pop them all in the car and get somebody to come and pick them up. So, we have evolved our business around that sort of idea.”

“We take all that stress out of it. You ring us up, we'll come and get your car, leave a courtesy car at your place or place of work — so if you need to go out at lunchtime, you can use our car — and we’ll get your car back to you by the end of the day,” said Geoff. “We've got mobile EFTPOS, so there is no reason for anyone to be coming out here to the workshop.”
And another promise from Geoff and Donna is that there won’t be any surprises when it comes to the bill.
Before proceeding with any unexpected repairs, they email their customers a full list of work to be approved and sent back.
“We are trying to take away the scary invoice at the end of the day. We keep communication open with the customer, so they know exactly what's going on and there are no surprises…It is all there in writing and you can say, ‘yep, fix that’ or ‘don't worry about that until next time’,” said Donna.
Hi-Tec Vehicle Management also make a point of keeping track of your vehicle’s history and will send out reminder messages so you will never miss a service.
And Hi-Tec Vehicle Management’ workshop is equipped for just about any job.
“There's not much we don't know,” said Geoff. “We are particularly up to date on the electronics side, we've got all the diagnostic and scan tools and we are constantly training. We use leading brand parts and oils and we can also do LPG servicing.
