“Practically Perfect in Every Way”

Orange Christian School is proud to present the heart-warming family musical, Mary Poppins. Since February, the committed cast have been crafting and honing their performance of this wonderful show which really does appeal to all ages.

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "anything can happen if you let it."

Director of the show, Peter Cooper said, “The musical has been so much fun to prepare over the past four months. Our young actors have worked as a team: acting, singing, dancing and just enjoying putting this wonderful show together for our audiences.”

Hannah Pierce (Mary Poppins) added, "Through this incredible experience, it has been amazing to step back and watch how we all work so well together as a team! It has definitely been a spoonful of sugar!"

The magic will take place at the Orange Civic Theatre on Friday May 7, at 7:00pm and Saturday May 8, at 5:00pm. Book your tickets early from Ticketek to enjoy all your favourite Mary Poppins moments.
