Ever thought about giving motocross a go?
On Sunday 31 March, the Canobolas Motorcycle Club are holding a ‘Come and Try day’ open to anyone interesting in giving this exciting motorsport a go.
The open day is perfect for those who have never tried motocross before, as well as for former and current riders who need to brush away the cobwebs, said publicity officer Joanne Smith.
“It is a sport for everyone - young, old, experienced, novice, male, female - everyone is welcome. In particular, we have a specially designed track for young riders,” said Joanne.
“If you have a 4, 5 or 6-year-old who wants to give motorcycling a go, this is your chance to come see what it’s all about and have a ride.”
New riders ride for free on the day, and if you have never previously held a Motorcycling Australia License, you can apply for a free 90-day Recreational License or Mini License.
The open day will be held from 8.30 to 4.00pm, Sunday 31 March. The Club can be found on Mulyan Rd, Clergate (Off Burrendong Way) about a 15-minute drive from Orange.
“It's an exciting sport to watch and spectators are also welcome - it's just a gold coin donation to enter the spectator area,” said Joanne.
