On Saturday March 9, let’s make Levi and Ivy’s day!

Last year Lisa Bermingham, at the age of 26, tragically lost her life, leaving behind her four-year-old son, Levi and two-year-old daughter, Ivy. Ms Bermingham was driving to Bathurst with her two children, when she began to have a seizure.

Somehow, Lisa was able to stop the car, but after the attack she never regained consciousness.

Adjusting to life without their Mum, Levi and Ivy now live with their Nanny, Della- a Carcoar local, some might say a ‘Carcoar Legend’.

To help make Levi and Ivy’s life a little comfortable and enjoyable, Della’s sister, Mim has organised a fun day out to raise funds toward a better future for them.

Della has lived in her family home (built in the 1800’s), which was her parents before hers, “It is very old, and hasn’t had much in the way of renovations, it needs a lot of work. It would be nice to get their little rooms a coat of paint. I also need to get a bathroom done for them to try and make their life a bit more comfortable (I have one, but it isn’t appropriate for them), at the moment I am just bathing them in a plastic tub,” said Della.

Organiser of the fundraiser and Della’s sister, Mim Davies said, “I hope people can support in any way, giving us a helping hand in making the day a success. We hope that the funds raised on the day can give Levi and Ivy a bit better future, and a bit of financial stability so that Della doesn’t have to worry about where money is coming from, whether it be for day to day expenses or things like school supplies.”

So, C’mon everyone, on March 9, join in the happenings in picturesque Carcoar, let’s give little Levi and Ivy the best chance at a comfortable life and give back to a family that needs our support. There will be 44 market stalls from 9am-2pm behind the Royal Hotel. A day out for the entire family, there will be jumping castles, face painting, a chocolate wheel, sausage sizzle and cold rock ice-cream (what more could you want to keep the kids entertained and happy!?)

There will also be live music performed by Oli Statham from 11am-2pm as well as some fantastic raffle prizes including a $2,800 Flight Centre voucher to be won!

When the day is done, enjoy a cold beverage and get your vocal chords ready to sing up a storm with karaoke from 7-11pm

We hope to see you there!
