Matilda Cain - People of O-Town

“When I was born my lungs weren’t formed properly, so I was taken to Sydney via Child Flight, and was on life support for two weeks, so I take my health and fitness pretty seriously.

I’ve always loved the outdoors, whether it be camping, fishing, or just being out with friends and family. Catching my first fish was really exciting, I screamed with excitement and catching more than my boyfriend that weekend was a bonus. I’ll never forget rescuing my first dog from the pound, I’m a bit of a sucker when it comes to animals and helping and rescuing them. I’m also looking forward to travelling, seeing the world is something I’ve always wanted to do.

After school I studied hairdressing, and once I finished that course, I studied beauty. They are both my passion and I am working toward starting my own beauty business, the goal is to be running it by the end of the year, so keep your eyes open! I’ve worked in a few different industries, including hospitality, and promotional work like Bathurst 1000 and Newcastle 500 car races.

I feel that it’s a great learning experience and a confidence booster as well as being able to meet awesome people and getting out of my comfort zone. I love being challenged!”
