I Can Predict the Future… You Can Too!

You may never have realised it, but as you’ve gone through life you’ve been predicting the future along the way… and in many cases you’ve probably been quite good at it.

Think about it for a moment…

• When you choose to go out somewhere, you would normally be doing so because you’re predicting you’ll have a good time.

• When you decide to take a job, you’re likely predicting that it’s a job you feel will help you in your career or be more enjoyable than your current job.

• When you get married, you’re predicting that the person you love is the one you will spend the rest of your life with.

• When you buy a house and borrow a lot of money to do so, you’re predicting that you’ll be able to keep up the mortgage repayments and likely live there for a long time.

Now, life has a habit of throwing some curveballs at us along the way, but many of our decisions are based on using the information we have available at the time to predict what will happen in the future.

We even have a special tool we use to help us with our predictions… we use a diary (or a calendar) to map out where we expect to be at certain points in time in the future.

What predictions are you making when it comes to your financial future?

The best way to predict your financial future is to create it! And the best way to create it is to have a plan.

We can’t predict what will happen, but we can predict what could happen and plan for those things. Hope is not a plan and failure to plan is planning to fail. These are only words… to get results requires action. And I can predict with a high degree of confidence that:

• 7 out of 10 people who read this will do nothing

• 2 out of 10 will think about doing something, and

• 1 out of 10 will ACTUALLY do something.

As Malcolm X said, “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today”.

If you want some help doing it… give me a call and let’s start predicting the financial future you WANT to have, rather than leaving it to chance.

Merry Christmas!

Daniel
