Almost time for Big School
Last week we visited Catherine McAuley Primary School during their Kindergarten Orientation Day to meet some of their new kids on the block. The future kindergarten students seemed to fit right in though teachers were reminded by many of the kiddies, ‘We aren’t coming here for good, it’s just for the day.’
Edie Short was one student who told Mrs Sutton she had been a little nervous in the lead up, “I was a bit excited too, I was excited to see my sister Lola, she’s seven and she’s in year two! When I was littler, I used to come in and watch Lola do maths!” exclaimed Edie.
“I’m excited to play and I think my favourite thing to learn at school will be kindness!”
Barnaby Luelf, was busy colouring when he mentioned he’s very excited about coming to school alongside his brother, Digby (who is in year one), “I will be playing on the monkey bars all the time, I can’t wait.”
Goodluck future Kindies!
