Scholarships on offer
If you live in the local area and you are looking to study in an Undergraduate Mining Industry related degree next year then this information is for you.
Cadia Valley Operations are offering two tertiary scholarships and one indigenous scholarship to assist local students in their studies to support industry areas that will benefit the wider community.
The selection process will focus on the applicantβs achievements, motivation, and passion to work in a regional community. The scholarships are specifically open to Mining related degrees, taking into consideration the current skill shortages in regional areas.
Scholarships will be offered to the preferred applications who successfully complete their High School Certificate with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank sufficient to enable admissions to their nominated course.
Scholarships will provide a maximum of $9,000/year for the minimum recommended course duration or up to a maximum of four years.
Scholarship recipients must pass all subjects to receive ongoing scholarship support. Scholarship recipients will also be required to undertake at least one work experience placement or internship in the Cabonne, Blayney or Orange Local Government Area throughout the duration of their degree.
Upon graduation, scholarship recipients are encouraged to return to the Orange, Blayney or Cabonne Shires to work, however, there is no commitment to work in the area or for any particular organisation.
