Three Weeks to Go Orange Wine Festival, 12-21 October
The highly-anticipated Orange Wine Festival kicks off in just three weeks, with more than 90 events showcasing the best new release cool climate wines and spring produce from New South Wales’ Orange region.

WHAT: In its 13th year, the annual 10-day festival celebrates the best local produce and cool climate wines from Orange – the highest wine region in Australia – across more than 90 food and wine events, from long lunches and degustation dinners, to winery tours and masterclasses.

WHO: Winemakers, producers, restaurateurs and chefs from Orange’s more than 80 vineyards, 30 wineries and cellar doors, restaurants, cafes and cooking schools.

Festival highlights include:
The Vino Express: A three-day Sydney-to-Orange return journey of curated culinary experiences, showcasing the best wines, produce and dining on offer in Orange, held across two weekends: 12-14 October and 19-21 October. Package includes train tickets, accommodation, events and dining, from $897 per person.
Wine in the Vines: Journey through the vines from winery to winery on this one-off tour on 20 October led by local vignerons. Go behind the scenes of cellar doors and enjoy a roving lunch with matching wines, transfers and a bottle of local wine to takeaway, for $149 per person.
Orange Wine Festival Night Market: Peruse more than 50 food and wine stalls dotted around leafy Robertson Park, meet local winemakers and chefs, dine at communal tables and enjoy live music under the stars, on 19 October, with a gold coin donation for entry.
Orange Wine Show Tasting: Sample and judge local wines, choosing from more than 200 types all in the one room, matched with local produce, on 12 October for $60 per person. Enhance your tasting experience and wine knowledge by including a masterclass hosted by Rikard Wines winemaker Will Rikard-Bell, for $75 per person.
Rosé All Day Garden Party: Kick back and relax in the sunshine on the lush lawns of The Greenhouse of Orange for this garden party celebrating award-winning See Saw Wines pinot noir rosé, on 13 October, for $30 per person.
Crumpet and Croissant Workshop: Perfect the art of baking buttery sourdough croissants and crumpets with this interactive workshop on 20 October at Habitat Vineyard. The experience includes lunch, a recipe book, the cooking lesson, and wine tasting, for $150 per person.
Yoga and Wine: Combine your love of yoga with your passion for wine with this one-hour session among the vines at Stockman’s Ridge Wines, followed by a wine tasting and grazing boards, on 20 October for $35 per person.
Barrel & Larder Cooking School: See the new cooking school at Ross Hill Wines in full swing with an interactive class on 18 October, led by chef Patrina Kerr from Palette Dining in the Blue Mountains. Pick up food and wine matching tips, and enjoy a three-dish meal with matching wines, for $120 per person.
