Better Marriage Conference coming to Orange
Most happily married couples will agree that a great marriage doesn’t just happen, it takes work, and on both sides.
Among other things, husbands and wives both, have to constantly think as much about pleasing each other as pleasing themselves. Couples who love each other and have grown together over time will often tell you that they argue like cat and dog sometimes, but that they’ve learnt not to let who wins matter. They’ve discovered no one wins in most arguments, and at the end of the day, winning an argument isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
These are just some of the things that will be discussed at a weekend Better Marriage Conference to be held in Orange next month.
Married couples who are interested in building their marriages are invited to attend the Conference to be held over the weekend of September 8 and 9 at Highland Heritage Estate Winery. The Conference is limited to 50 couples. The theme is Love in the Vines – Celebrating a marriage that’s worth bottling, with the entire conference designed to help couples gain information and learn strategies for overcoming those things that can hinder a great marriage. The program includes talks, workshops, open panel sessions as well as social activities, wine tasting and a candlelight dinner. Participants can look forward to a full day on the Saturday from 9am and to 9pm and then a very relaxing day of the Sunday.
Cost is $230 per couple and you can register at www.bettermarriages.org.au
