Norton Park Cricket Facility: an upgrade to benefit our whole community.

Member for Orange, Philip Donato MP, today announced the Orange CYMS Cricket Club’s successful application for funding through the 2017 Community Building Partnership Program, facilitated by the NSW Department of the Premier and Cabinet.

“I am pleased to announce that the Orange CYMS Cricket Club will receive $20,000 towards Stage 2 of the Norton Park Cricket Training Facility project,” Mr Donato said.

“The funding will go towards construction of two cricket nets at the facility.“I have supported this funding as I’m a strong advocate for continuing to ensure our sporting facilities are well maintained. A thriving community has good sporting facilities.

“With people of all ages using the Norton Park facility, this will provide a positive health and social benefit to our whole community.

“Sport contributes greatly to the wellbeing of our community. This funding will provide a positive impact to many local people, of all ages.

“I commend the Orange CYMS Cricket Club for their proactivity throughout the application process; I look forward to seeing the project being put into action,” said Mr Donato.
