Hannah Bor - People of O-town

“I only moved to Orange in January this year, but I’ve been visiting the area for about 20 years, having family here, and I’ve always loved it. I was working long, late hours for the National Operation Centre for Westfield Shopping centres when my parents moved out this way two years ago, so I decided to follow.

I am a freelance illustrator and amateur photographer and I really love getting out into nature and spending time with my friends and family. And travelling, I love travelling and seeing new places.

I’ve actually travelled a lot – when I was 19, I moved to Canada and worked for two years in a café and on film sets, travelling around the US. I’ve also visited the UK, France, Croatia, Korea, New Zealand – I would probably have to say that my favourite place is Vancouver. I feel as at home there, as I do here.

The best day I can remember is the day my niece was born – I packed up my whole life in Vancouver and came back to Australia just to meet her and I haven’t regretted it. After that I’d have to say my travels, some of my best memories are of time spent in my favourite places, like Paris, Edinburgh and Disneyland.

My sister lives in Darwin, so a chance to visit with her, my brother-in-law and my gorgeous niece Sophie, is probably what I’m most looking forward to in the coming year (it’s what I look forward to every year).”
