The Orange Ex Services Club will celebrate a year of diverse sporting achievements at their Sports Awards and Family Day to be held at Orange Ex-Services’ Country Club, Forest Road on Sunday November 4 from 11am.

The annual awards recognise stand-out members from various sporting and social groups, as well as showcasing the potential fun, recreation, and success that’s on offer for all ages.

This year’s Awards will see acknowledgement of valuable volunteers and exciting recent individual member achievements.

Orange Ex-Services' Club Community Committee Chairperson Ros Davidson said the Sports Awards are an addition to the $300,000 in support that OESC already offers to Sub Clubs annually.

“Playing sport is such an integral part of life in Orange and we’re proud to continue our support of local sporting and social clubs.

“The Sports Awards celebrate sportsmanship on and off the field. Players often wouldn’t get the opportunity to compete without the support of coaches and hard-working people behind the scenes who volunteer countless hours towards the success and achievement of others,” said Ms Davidson.

The Junior and Senior Sportsperson and Clubperson of the Year for 2018 will be announced before a BBQ lunch is served, with the various Sub Clubs hosting a variety of displays and activities showcasing the benefits of joining in.

Tickets are only $5.00 and are available at OESC reception. Children under 11 can come along for free.
