Moving House?  Cleaning Out Your Pantry? Donate to FoodCare Orange

Doone Grist from Williams Machin Real Estate Agency launched FoodCare’s new campaign with real estate agents to encourage people who are selling their house, or cleaning out their pantry, to donate to FoodCare in-date foods and non-perishables, unopened toiletries and household items.

FoodCare is delivering postcards to local real estate agents to hand out to their clients.

Doone said ‘I urge local real estate agents to join this worthwhile campaign and give these postcards to their clients who are selling their houses, so that leftover foods and household items can be delivered to FoodCare to help those in the community doing it tough while also preventing food waste from going to landfill.’

Anne Hopwood, Co-ordinator at FoodCare said that volunteers are delivering the postcards to real estate agents in Orange to encourage them to join the campaign.  ‘FoodCare is a food rescue, food relief service that provides fresh fruit, vegetables, milk, bread, eggs, and other groceries along with household items at discounted prices.’

‘We welcome donations to our store at 142, March Street and we pass on those donations to our customers free of charge’ Anne said. ‘Drop off your donated produce during our opening hours or give us a call if you need further information on 0445 577 884.’

FoodCare moved to its new store on March Street on 1st October and has welcomed more and new customers with increased opening hours which are now:

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 142 March Street, Orange from 10.30 am - 1 pm and on Thursday's from 4.30 pm - 6 pm.

Don’t add it to landfill, give it to FoodCare!
