Avalanche’s hard rock sound descends on the Vic, March 4

Sydney pub rock band, Avalanche, are bringing their good-time rock ‘n’ roll sound to Orange, making their 4 on the 4loor debut this March.

Avalanche are joining Harriet Fahey, Sporadic Bin Rats and Implexive on the 4 on the 4loor at the Victoria Hotel on Saturday, March 4, and will be promoting their brand-new single, ‘Sweet Baby Brown Eyes’.

The four-piece band, formed by husband and wife duo, Steven (lead singer) and Veronica Campbell (lead guitarist), started out in an old steel factory in 2018. The duo were then joined by Ryan Roma on drums and Arthur Davis on rhythm guitar.

From humble beginnings, Avalanche have gone on to support acts such as Buckcherry, Fozzy, Kingswood and The Poor. They also played one of the headlining spots at Thrashville Festival in September 2022 and headlined their first international festival, Rocktober Fest, last October.

Their music videos have generated over 260,000 views on YouTube and Facebook, and they continue selling out shows across Australia.

“We just play good-time rock and roll – the sort of stuff you’d hear at a pub, so pub rock, classic rock,” lead singer Steven explained.

“It’s all about having a good time, a bit of fun and trying to have a bit of a party!”

The band are looking forward to hitting the Vic Hotel stage on March 4 and the opportunity to explore what Orange has to offer.

“We’ve been trying to get out a bit more and do more regional communities instead of just playing in the city all the time,” Steven said.

“I’m a bit of a country boy, so I’m looking forward to getting out of the city for a bit!”
