A dog's day out for a “barking” good cause

Orange’s furriest locals - along with their family and friends - are invited to a special “doggy picnic” event to raise money for the RSPCA Orange Supporter Group.

The lunchtime event is on from 12-2pm at Heifer Station on Sunday, February 20 and has been organised by the dog-loving team at McGrath Orange to highlight the important work being done by the RSPCA Orange Supporter Group.

“Between us, the McGrath Orange and Molong team has 16 dogs,” said McGrath Orange Director, Josh Fitzgerald.

“So, organising a day to enjoy with them and other dogs, provides a chance to share an outdoor picnic with our pets and the community.”

As well as a barbecue, with money from sales going to the RSPCA Orange Supporter Group, Merv’s Coffee will also be in attendance to sort out your caffeine needs and, of course, with some delicious Heifer Station wines also on-hand to enjoy!

Think you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Orange Vet Hospital Puppy Preschool trainer Rosie Heather will also bethere show you the tricks of the trade.

Lastly, the Little Image Co will be conducting photoshoots for families and their furry loved-ones.

Best of all, you only need a gold-coin donation going to the RSPCA Orange Supporter Group for your entry to this fun event. Note that all dogs must be on a tight-leash with owners responsible for cleaning-up after man’s best friend!

Also remember, to make sure you don’t miss out on your photoshoot, you can pre-book a session online; search for: “Dogs of Orange Day photography booking” on “Eventbrite”.
