Come and celebrate at Pride Park

Gather the family, New Life City Church is hosting a community Christmas party on December 18 at Waratahs (Pride Park – Telopea Way).

Event organiser Greg Barnes said, “This is the fourth year we have hosted a community Christmas party.”

This year the Christmas party will be a little different. New Life City Church will be hosting it as a ticketed event. Over 16s will be a $2 entry fee, with the money going to a great cause.

“We’ve chosen to give proceeds to Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in Orange. Two young members of our church have recently received help from RMH in Sydney. One is receiving extensive treatment at the moment and the other had a stint there last year.

“To be able to give to families who are experiencing trauma locally is what we are about.”

From 5pm there will be jumping castles, a merry-go-round and lots of activities for the kids, there will also be free food and drinks, giveaways happening throughout the day, and from 7pm to 8pm enjoy a Christmas carols concert.

Greg explained, “We are looking forward to having a Christmas event that we can celebrate. Having the year that we’ve had, we can’t wait to open up and have fun with people from the community as we’ve all been locked down this year.

“Everyone’s welcome,” Greg added. “We hope the community comes and unwinds, unpacks the year and finishes with a bit more joy that they had at the start of the year.

“Ultimately we want a fun, family-friendly Christmas celebration, and to give back to the community is great as well.”
