Get ready to celebrate this December!

From Thursday December 9 – 12, Orange 360 will be hosting a ‘Celebrate Orange360 Festival’.

A great way to celebrate our ‘reopening’ of the region as well as our local talent and producers that make our region so special, Celebrate Orange360 is a three-day festival jam packed with events for the whole family to enjoy.

“Orange is open for business!” Stated Orange360 General Manager, Caddie Marshall.  “We’ve missed our visitors and we’re thrilled to welcome them back to celebrate the reopening of our region in such a big way. Celebrate Orange360 will mark the start of the festive season and be a showcase of local talent and producers.

“We’re inviting our locals and visitors to head to Roberston Park and enjoy a weekend of fun and Christmas cheer, we’ve included events for all ages to enjoy so that there really is something for everyone to celebrate!” said Caddie.

The Orange Wine Festival Night Market and Wine Show Tasting are the perfect events to sample local cool-climate wines, while a Spiegeltent in Robertson Park hosts a program of ticketed events including live musical performances, comedy acts, death defying stunts and so much more. But wait, there’s more.. McNamara Street will come to life with live acts and a pop-up bar, on Friday December 10.

Featured Spiegeltent events include: ‘The Pitts Family Circus,’ bringing family acrobatics, juggling, hand balancing and jokes. ‘The Space Cowboy’ will have you on the edge of your seat with sword swallowing, knife throwing, escapology, chainsaw juggling, whip cracking, mind reading, mentalism and spoon bending. The after dark skew of the ‘KISS BANG Kabaret’ brings comedy, circus, variety, and cabaret like you have never seen before!

Caddie continued, “With a selection of wine and food available from out the front of Speigeltent, we think this is a fun way to spend Saturday afternoon with the family and do a little bit of Christmas shopping in Summer Street and the surrounding centres,” said Caddie, “There will also be plenty on offer for Christmas in the Villages with a late-night shopping event in Blayney and Millthorpe.”

“The Christmas highlight will of course be the fra-lah-lahing of the Orange City Council Christmas Carols on Saturday December 11, in Orange’s North Court, this will bring some holiday cheer to town. Awaken on Sunday and be welcomed back to Robertson Park for Sunday Sparkling Brunch and Christmas Artisan Markets, an ideal spot to sample and purchase local produce – once again, just in time for Christmas!”

Mayor, Reg Kidd added, “Carols by Candlelight is one of the most popular events on Council’s calendar and I’m glad we are able to put them on this year. Our council staff have also been busy putting Christmas decorations up around the CBD, with the hugely popular Robertson Park bauble also set to make a return. It really adds to the Christmas cheer and gives people something to smile about after a very tough couple of years.

“I encourage everyone to come into the city centre and join in the celebrations, spend time in the city centre supporting our local businesses and boosting our economy this Christmas. I will be there, will you?”
