What we’re watching

There’s no shortage of good entertainment available online, but that in itself can be a problem. I know I’m not alone in having spent an unfruitful evenings trawling through streaming services, unable to settle on just what to watch

So to help you cut through the choice overload, we decided to share what the team at OC Life are enjoying on the small screen at the moment:

Melise is watching Workin’ Moms on Netflix

Maternity leave is over and it's time for these four moms to return to work while navigating kids, bosses, love and life in modern-day Toronto.’

Jono is watchin Kingdom (Season 2) on Netflix

 A Netflix original series set in 16th Century Korea. A dead king comes back to life and unleashes a plague of the undead on the population.

“Swords, matchlock muskets and zombies — what’s not to like! Definitely not one for the fainthearted!”

Annabel is watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix

A British historical drama set in late 9th England. The Anglo-Saxon lands are gradually being overrun by Viking Danes. The Kingdom of Wessex ruled by Alfred the Great remains the last major stronghold against the invaders.

“Season 4 will be released on the 26th of April. I can’t wait!”

April is watching The Good Doctor on 7Plus

Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, relocates from a quiet country life to join the prestigious St. Bonaventure hospital’s surgical unit.

“I like this show as it’s interesting and I love medical shows.”

Kester is watching Arrested Development Season 5 (part 2) on Netflix

 While it’s a bit madcap, I think it is one of the wittiest comedies out there with the crazy hi-jinks subtly balanced by dry one-liners…“

Inspired by true events, the lives of four strangers intertwine in an immigration detention centre in the Australian desert.

“Love it! Great storyline and yet quiet disturbing to know that it is based on real events. Great casting - Yvonne Strahovski, Asher Keddie and Cate Blanchette to name a few!

“Another great ABC drama which is available on iView is The Cry .. it is another typical abc drama series.. compelling story with great casting again... worth a watch”
