March 20: Chamber Music Series Concert 1 - Music for Seven Hands

The professional musicians and teachers of the Orange Regional Conservatorium showcase music from the greatest composers of all time, challenging modern works and original compositions.

March 22: Summer Sounds at The Greenhouse of Orange

March 22: Canobolas 4WD Club Come & Try Day

The Canobolas 4WD Club will host their second demonstration and come and try day in 2020 for people interested in responsible four-wheel driving. This is a fun day for drivers and families who wish to learn more about four-wheel driving. March 26: An evening with the collection

An evening of art, wine, and music at the Orange Regional Gallery. Learn more about the collection and hear how the generosity of the Friends of Orange Regional Gallery contributes to new acquisitions. See for yourself why our collection is so highly regarded as Gallery Director, Brad Hammond guides you through our current exhibition Collection Highlights.
The Orange Regional Conservatorium will also be represented by its Chamber Music Academy. This ensemble, featuring emerging musicians, sponsored by Godfrey Turner Memorial Music Trust, will provide a short performance of their current program. This event is a fundraiser for the Friends of Orange Regional Gallery, with all proceeds going towards the purchase of new works for the collection. $20 ($15 FORG members) payable at the door. Refreshments included.

March 27:  Mulan movie Cancer Council Fundraiser

Come along and enjoy a night out with family and friends for the screening of the Disney movie classic, Mulan. All proceeds go to the Cancer Council.

March 28: 2020 Orange Apple Ramble

Join the Apple Ramble and enjoy apple based food and ciders as you ramble through the orchards in the scenic Towac Valley. Hosted by local orchardists, the event caters for all ages. Learn about the varieties, view a packhouse and experience the harvest, picking a few of your own as you go

April 5: Friends of the Orange Botanic Garden Plant Sale and Bid Walk

The Autumn Plant Sale fundraiser of the Friends of the Orange Botanic Gardens — a community volunteer group supporting the Gardens through fundraising, hands on projects and information events. Plant Sale from 8am. Free guided bird walk will be held from 8.30am-10 am. Meet at the Botanic Room.

April 19: Pet ‘Furtography’ charity photo shoot

A professional photo shoot for your four-legged friend at the Orange Botanic Gardens. For a donation of $30, you will receive a professional photo of your pet to cherish for a lifetime. Hosted by the Cardiac Cath Lab girls for their campaign for Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer.

Head to the Mountain Teahouse a peruse local artist Amanda Holmans evocative. The exhibition will run until the end of Easter.

Orange Art Society Exhibit

Members of the Orange Art Society have been throwing paint at canvas with great vigour this past month and their efforts are on display until April 10. This month’s feature artist Hank Spirek’s exhibition will focus on a variety of ‘bird motif’ works executed in oil on canvas and mixed mediums on paper. The exhibition is now open to the public at the Orange Cultural Centre.

'Small Abstracts' from the collection of David and Gillian Serisier 

Officially opening Friday 20 March at 6:30pm, the exhibition will by opened by Teddy Grant, Art Collaborator. David Serisier will present a floor talk at 5:30pm prior to the opening. Exhibition runs from 21 March - 3 May 2020

Capturing Nature (Opening March 27)

Join the Orange Regional Gallery for the opening of 'Capturing Nature: Early photography at the Australian Museum 1857-1893'. In Capturing Nature, we travel back to a time when photography was revolutionising science, art and society. These never-before-seen images dating from 1857 to 1893 have been printed from the Australian Museum's collection of glass plate negatives and are some of Australia's earliest natural history photographs. A touring exhibition created by the Australian Museum. Exhibition runs until 19 July.
