February 29: Spring Hill Whistle Stop Festival and Coffee, Cars, Bikes & Trucks Show

February 29: Beach to the Bush and Back youth music festival

Live and free music festival featuring Gravity Stone, Fusion. School of Rock Sutherland, Blindly Led Youth, School of Rock Macarthur, and The Objections. Orange Northcourt 4-10pm.

February 29: Wine, Dine and Let the Art Shine

The Inner Wheel Club of Orange invite you to a wine tasting, nibbles, dinner and art auction — all for a good cause. Proceeds go to Cord Blood Research and the Kisaru Nkera Initiatives (KINI). All art from the auction has been kindly donated. Tickets cost $45 per person and are available by calling Maria on 0418760412. RSVP and payment required by 21 February.

February 29: Ian Moss - Matchbook 30th Anniversary Tour

Mossy’s debut album Matchbook was released on 1 August, 1989 and peaked at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It remained in the Top 10 for an amazing 14 weeks, shipping more than 200,000 copies in the first 12 months alone. Enjoy Ian Moss’ solo acoustic take on the iconic album at the Orange Civic Theatre Saturday 29 8pm. Tickets at Ticketek.

March 1: Old Dubbo Gaol and Dubbo Regional Museum Bus Tour

Friends of the Orange Regional Museum invite you to join them on a bus trip to Dubbo with guided tours of the Old Dubbo gaol and Dubbo regional Museum. March 6: Let it Rain: Drought Relief Fundraiser

A musical drought fundraiser held at the Orange Ex-Services Club featuring Robbie Mortimer, Kyle and Holly Manning, Gabe Middleton and Mal Keys, Emerson Miller, Amy Viola, Pat and Kelly O’Donnell, Melissa Stanford and Catherine Litchfield, Cecilia and Rocky Rochelli, Will and Andrew Ferguson, Matt Arthur and Hughie Brown, and Barry Patterson. All money raised will be distributed to farmers in the Central West.

March 7: Markets On The Lawn

An initiative of the Orange Uniting church, the market days feature a selection of creative arts, crafts, food and handmade stalls. Anson Street near corner with Summer Street 8:30am to 1:30pm.

March 27 – 5 April Orange F.O.O.D Week

Orange F.O.O.D Week kicks off on March 27 with the iconic Night Market, featuring stall representing the Orange region's chefs, cooks, caterers, providores, wine, cider and beer makers, with a focus on the provenance of our local produce.


EXHIBITIONS

Salvatore Zofrea: Days of Summer

In 2012, Salvatore Zofrea donated a complete edition from his Days of Summer woodblock series to Orange Regional Gallery. This selection from the original donation of 40 prints presents an extraordinary celebration of flora and fauna in Australia over the summer season.

Collection Highlights

Orange Regional Gallery presents some iconic and well-loved works in the Gallery’s collection alongside recent acquisitions. Works have been selected from the Mary Turner and Chroma collections as well as from the general collection.

The installation features paintings and drawings by Modern artists including Grace Cossington Smith, Ian Fairweather, and Brett Whiteley alongside works by contemporary artists such as Kevin Connor, Harrie Fasher, Emily Kngwarreye, Margaret Loy Pula, Luke Sciberras​ and David Serisier.

8x10 Group Exhibition

Annual event at The Corner Store Gallery featuring works of any medium or subject matter that measure 8x10 inches. Until 4pm, 7 March.
