The upcoming ‘safe place’ Women’s Empowerment Supper aims to inspire local women in an effort for a ‘Balance for Better’ this International Women’s Day.

Leading community ambassadors and government agency representatives are coming together to offer information on domestic violence support, financial freedom and understanding seemingly complex legalities.

Orange Ex-Services’ Club and the Nashdale Country Women’s Association are jointly hosting the Empowerment Supper, with the Club supporting the cause through the ClubGRANTS program.

Nashdale Country Women’s Association Vice President Danielle Haase said the event will encourage financial and legal independence and the ability to influence in household decisions, as well as being a chance to spend a ‘moment on themselves’ this International Women’s Day.

“We are appealing to all demographics, which is fantastic for a community-wide event. Vulnerable women are the absolute focus of our event, but we are looking to appeal on every spectrum in our community,” said Nashdale CWA Branch Vice President Danielle Haase.

Contributing to the Women’s Empowerment Supper will be leading community voices from Lifeline Central West, Housing Plus, NSW Trustee and Guardian, Wealth Train, NSW Police Assistance and Legal Aid.

The Women’s Empowerment Supper is on International Women’s Day, Friday 8 March 2019, from 5pm to 8pm, in the Coral Sea Room at Orange Ex-Services’ Club. Free supper is provided.

There is will be free child minding, with a creche being supervised by Nikki Cortes from Quality Child Minding. RSVP by Friday 1 March 2019 to cwanashdale@gmail.com for catering purposes.
