Huge Fun Fundraiser to help our Farmers

We’re being given another opportunity to help our farmers and have fun at the same time.

Pay it Forward and Feed 4 Farmers have teamed up to host the Fair Dinkum Farmer Fundraiser, located at Bletchington Public School, with all money raised from the event going to farmers in the Central West.

It’s on this Sunday August 26 from 10am-3pm.

One of the organisers of the event Stephen Scott-Robertson says they expect a big turn out and there is something for everyone.

“We have about 40 market stalls from kids’ toys, soaps, garden ornaments and everything. There will be lots of kid’s activities going on with a jumping castle and face painting. We have a couple of old cars and bikes and the fire department will be coming as well. There will be entertainment throughout the day and we have people doing poems for the farmers.

“We did a fundraiser a few weeks ago and raised $2,500 but we wanted to do a bigger one. We are trying to raise at least $20,000 this time,” said Stephen.

The event is a gold coin donation and there will be many raffle prizes and an auction throughout the day with many local businesses jumping on board.

“There will be a BBQ with most of the butchers in town donating meat for us. We have had many businesses support us. Some of the stall holders are donating a percentage of their profits as well.

“We are basically helping out our farmers by sending them a bale of hay and we are also raising money to help them get everyday things that they may not be able to get.

“We think it will be huge with a thousand people there at least,” said Stephen.

Be sure to head along to Bletchington Public School on Sunday August 26 from 10am-3pm for the Fair Dinkum Farmer Fundraiser.
