More good news!

The construction certificate has been issued for the Bloomfield Medical Centre and building of the six-storey centre on the site of the old drive-in movie lot will begin shortly. The facility will be up and running by October 2019, followed by the construction of a retail and allied health precinct and 82 bed Medi Motel.

"On behalf of Orange City Council and the Orange Community it's absolutely fantastic and exciting to see this project take off," said Orange Deputy Mayor Joanne McRae. "We're looking at it providing 500 jobs for the Orange community and as a big project for Orange it really cements us as a centre of health for the region.

"It is a really exciting time for Orange... We've got the CBD revitalisation project, DPI being built and this health infrastructure - it is absolutely fantastic for Orange."

This is another exciting announcement, and very timely. We need to stay motivated and apart from enjoying announcements like this one and other ‘good news’ recent announcements, we need to keep ahead of the game by being proactive in coming up and implementing ideas and initiatives that will keep Orange progressing forward and safe from the consequences of apathy. In my view, ‘business as usual’ is not an option if we want to keep Orange prosperous and vibrant.
