Community Forum on Biodiversity | Orange, Sunday July 8th

The Central West Environmental Council (an umbrella group for district environment groups throughout the region) is holding a Community Forum on Biodiversity on Sunday July 8th from 10 am to 4 pm. The venue is the Blue Room, Orange City Bowling Club, 61–89 Warrendine St.   Anyone interested in the future of nature in the Central West would be welcome to attend.

There will be speakers from National Parks Association, Nature Conservation Council and the Environment Defenders’ Office.  Furthermore there will be local experts on natural history and Wiradjuri culture, as well as discussion and workshops on two main themes:  recent changes to land clearing legislation affecting biodiversity (morning) and Mount Canobolas State Conservation Area: a case study in conservation (afternoon) with reference to the draft plan of management - and a possible new major bike track development -  due to be on exhibition soon.

Entry is by donation.  A light lunch is included for those registering by 6th July.  Lunch is also available at the club, or byo.
