Orange City Life

I have lived in Orange my whole life, bar 3.5 years when I moved to the Sunshine Coast to study a degree in Journalism. I fell in love with the Sunshine Coast and wanted to live there for as long as possible. However, a job came up in Orange and I applied for it and ended up moving back home to pursue my career in the media industry.

“One of the things I love about Orange is my family and friends. Also, having experienced the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane traffic, I love the short commute in Orange. It takes a maximum of 15 minutes to get from one side of town to the other. I also love the culture and the community.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am a dedicated fitness nut. I enjoy all things weightlifting, exploring the outdoors, walking/hiking. However, I’m also a blogger at trainhardstaybeautiful.com – I write all things beauty and fitness.

Most people wouldn’t know I was a competitive gymnast for a large part of my childhood/adolescence. I’m also in the process of writing a chic-lit novel, which I am hoping to finish in the next couple of years.

I absolutely can’t go past a BBQ and beers in the backyard, listening to some music, kicking back and enjoying daylight savings.

“Creating the best version of myself and making the most of every day is important to me. Success is also important to me. I thrive on learning and growing. Also, never becoming too complacent.

An interesting memory was when I was living in Queensland, I got a call from Southern Cross Austereo saying I got an interview for the Promotions Manager role. It was a face to face interview and I really wanted a start in the media industry, so I drove 15 hours for a 30-minute interview. After my interview I got a trial and then the job was offered to me. I moved from Queensland to Orange within a week to start my new life back home.
