Demolition work has started on the former Orange Base Hospital in Dalton Street.  Regional specialist major construction company Zauner Construction, have been engaged by Orange City Council to undertake the demolition.
Zauner were selected after an extensive tendering and review process and are approaching the project with a careful methodology that has been approved by Orange Council. However, like any construction site, there will be some noise and dust associated with the works, but this will be kept to a minimum wherever possible.
In partnership with Orange City Council, a dedicated mini website has been set up to keep the community in touch as the project unfolds. The site will contain regular updates about the project as the demolition takes place, as well as providing the official planning approval documents concerning the demolition. If you have a query about the project, this may be a good place to find general information. You can visit the site at http://yoursay.orange.nsw.gov.au/former-hospital-site.
Zauner Construction has a 60 year standing successful track record in regional Australia including award winning projects in Orange such as the Orange Museum and CSU School of Dentistry and CSU Student Accommodation.
