Have you heard about Luminosity? Well, let us enlighten you! Luminosity is an Orange-based event created to provide opportunity for people of all walks of life to get involved in creative experiences; art, dance, music, and film. Luminosity will be themed around the Aboriginal dreamtime story of the Rainbow Serpent.

As the August 31 launch of Orange Luminosity approaches, organisers Kris Lear and Suzi Welch are inviting the local community to help make this inclusive project a reality. With already strong support from many local businesses, the team is urging more sponsors to get on board, and help make this exciting event a realty.

“An event such as this can be incredibly expensive to stage properly.” Suzi explained. “So far we have been quoted over $14,000 to cover the cost of staging, lights, sound, cinema screen and site lighting. We really hope that local businesses and organisations get behind this fantastic community project and consider sponsoring the event to help us cover these costs.

“We are offering Gold ($2,500) and Silver ($1,000) sponsorships however smaller donations would be most welcome – every little bit helps. The Luminosity committee is also looking to source cardboard boxes and clean, empty tin cans with labels removed for the upcoming art workshops.”

For further information on how you can support or participate in Orange Luminosity contact Suzi Welch 0428 655 549 or Kris Lear 0458 489 597.
